Indications for the use of transfixed hemostatic agent «Bystrospas»

«Bystrospas» is indicated for use in the presence of external bleeding, including that characterized by high blood loss, as well as as an auxiliary hemostatic agent when stopping bleeding by bandaging blood vessels is not possible and where the use of traditional procedures is ineffective or impracticable.

Composition and mechanism of action

The medical product «Hemostatic Dressing «Bystrospas» sterile» are kaolin-based granules sterile packed in packets of 50; 35; 15 grams, the product has sorption activity, is able to form gel and activate the hemostasis process. When interacting with the liquid blood fraction, it increases the local concentration of clotting factors and cell elements.

When used, the product easily fills the wound cavity, does not attach to tissues, does not suck, and after application is easily removed mechanically. Does not contain animal components. The rapid reaction in kaolin-based granules does not give exothermic reactions, its use is safe and painless.

«Bystrospas» can be used to provide first aid and emergency care for bleeding wounds and vascular damage, as well as to heal wounds and cuts caused by mechanical action on the epidermal and muscular tissues. Can be used in clinical, polyclinic, field and home environments. Suitable for use by both health care professionals and people without medical education.

Method of application

1. Before the application of the agent «Bystrospas» the wound is cleaned from foreign bodies, blood clots (fig. 1).
2. «Bystrospas» are poured into the wound cavity (fig. 2). The package «Bystrospas» must be opened immediately before the application of the product, it is not reused.
3. After filling the cavity of the wound «Bystrospas», it is necessary to apply a cotton pad and carry out manual compression within 5-7 minutes (fig. 3).
4. If the arteries are damaged before use, it is advisable to temporarily stop the bleeding by pressing the damaged artery with the finger or applying a blood-stopping tourniquet to avoid the drug being washed out of the wound by blood streams.
5. In case of ineffective hemostasis, it is necessary to refill the «Bystrospas» from another package and then carry out mechanical compression and apply a blood-stopping tourniquet (depending on the location of the injury) (fig. 4).
6. To stop bleeding, the tampon should be fixed with a bandage wrap by applying a compression bandage.
7. If a limb is damaged, it should be immobilized to reduce the risk of re-bleeding.

Precautions

1. Do not eat.
2. Avoid entering the respiratory tract.
3. If the pellets are in the mouth, drink one or two glasses of water immediately.
4. When in eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
5. Do not use it when packaging is damaged.
6. For single use.
7. Do not apply after expiration.
